Yep you read it right. Yesterday was such a beautiful day and amazingly the drop zone was open because some crazy people wanted to make tandem skydives. I was sitting at H&R Block at 3:00 and looking outside seeing how gorgeous it was and I just couldn't sit there and do nothing. (We weren't very busy) So I asked my office leader if I could leave early (2 hours early) so I could go jump on this beautiful day and thankfully she said yes.
I got geared up, in I don't even know how many layers, then topped it with my ski pants and a wind proof jacket and put my rig on top of all of that and headed to the plane. Did I mention how gorgeous of a day it was yet? Right, so on the plane ride I didn't even get cold, the jump itself wasn't even that bad and usually on the canopy ride down I freeze, but not this time. All the layers worked great. The only bad thing about the jump was that I still have some congestion from a cold and I thought my head was going to explode from the pressure, but it didn't. I did however get a nasty headache from the whole thing so I didn't feel up to going to Hula.
Landing in the snow is quite funny. Most people braved trying to land on the feet and run it out. Some were successful, but most would end up belly/face flopping from the snow being too deep. My plan was to just come in sliding on my but, I thought that would be a lot of fun, but then at the last minute I was like, "I can stand this up." Well guess what happened? I took about two steps and then sliding on my belly I went. It made me laugh and I wish I had pictures, they would have been great. It was nice to have such a blue sky day that included skydiving. It was definatley a mood booster.

So I love mytinystarblog.blogspot.com. I am not even sure how I came upon it, but her art is so cute. She is having a giveaway for her cute softie owls and I thought some of you would think they are cute. Below is the link to the giveaway. Also check out her link on her blog to her etsy shop to check out how adorable all of her art is. She has pictures inspired from the "My Favorite Things" song from The Sound of Music. One of my personal favorites is the whiskers on kittens. I purchased it and love it.

So it's been a crazy tax season this year. We have been really busy which means I usually work later than I would like to. I also have been getting some pretty difficult returns this year which I enjoy doing but usually I get them towards the end of the season when my brain is use to working more. Yesterday, I just didn't feel very good and my tendonitis in my wrist was flaring up REALY bad and I just didn't want to be at H&R Block working, but I was the one closing. We close at 9:00 and should take our last client at 8:15. Well one of our tax pros for some reason decided to take a client at 8:35!!!!! I was pissed! She got done with the client at 9:15 and we got out of there at 9:40!!
I only made it through the day because of my awesome husband. He showed up at my work about an hour after I started working with flowers and the cutest note. He thanked me for working at night and all the things that I do for him. What a sweetheart! I should be the one thanking him for all that he has been doing lately because I am working so much. He has done the laundry several times, picked up and cleaned the house multiple times and is so nice and sweet when I get home. I have hardly done anything around the house the last month because when I get home the last thing I want to do is laundry and housework. I just want to chill. So I just want to thank my hubby for how awesome he is. I am so lucky. Of course all the flowers he got me were purple-my favorite color.

I got my package and the poor fedex guy was so nice. Apparently last night he had already scanned the package as delivered and could change it. So he called our office number and got our after hours and told them to tell me that it would be delivered the next day, but that if I looked online it would say that it was delivered. For some reason the after hours person didn't think it was neccesary or just forgot to relay that information to me. So now I feel bad because he got in trouble even though he went above and beyond.

So I usually have my packages delivered to my work because someone is always available to receive a package. Well yesterday I was supposed to get my digital bound scrapbook and it didn't get delivered before 5:00 so I called them and asked to have it delivered tomorrow and that we close at 5:00. They said they sent a message to the driver to let him know that information. So I get here today and check the delivery status on Fedex and it says it was delivered at the front door-no signature required. Well our office has a locked gate and fence around the building so you can't leave anything at the front door. So as I understand it some idiot driver thought it was ok to leave a package in innercity ogden where lots of homeless and dishonest people live and thought no one would take. Are you kidding me?!!!! I called Fedex and they said they would contact the driver and someone would get back to me within 48 hours. Does it really take THAT long to talk to someone? Plus I know from past horrible experiences with Fedex that if the driver says they delivered it and someone takes it, there is absolutly nothing they will do about it. NOTHING! With that kind of policy it's amazing that anyone gets there packages. Where can I sign up to be a fedex driver? Think of all the free stuff you could get. So please don't use Fedex to have things shipped. If you order something request that it be shipped any other way BUT Fedex. If you absolutly have to use this horrible company, than make sure your package has to be signed for. Other wise it will just be left for someone to take.
On a good note: I contacted Mypublisher and they gave me a coupon code to reorder my order and have it shipped overnight for free. I'll get off my soapbox now, but just know I am soooooooo angry and will do everything I can to NEVER use Fedex again.
